The web, news, and politics: blogging the G8 summit

An interesting article from Wired writes about how G8 protesters tried to get their message out about what was going on by using the web, laptops, and smart phones.

This whole idea makes an interesting comment about the web and freedom of the press. As long as there are opportunities for individuals to publish via the web without some organization monitoring their content, the world is a much better place. However, it also means that individual readers need to become more discriminating at separating bias from news.
