Canadian trains to get WiFi

An article from Unstrung quotes press releases from Intel, Bell Canada, and VIA Rail Canada (the Canadian railroad company) stating that some trains traveling between Montreal and Toronto will be fitted with WiFi and satellite access to provide uninterrupted internet connectivity for train users.

The service appears to be an interesting mix of technologies. Bell Canada is providing the ExpressVU service (similar to DirecTV for Canada including internet access availability), which will provide access to the internet from the trains. PointShot will provide the on-train WiFi service, and Intel will provide marketing.

PointShot is kind of interesting because they provide wireless for moving environments (trains, busses, etc).
