Political insider takes RIAA's top post


Well, hold on to your hats, folks. According to an article from CNet, Mitch Bainwol, former chief of staff to U.S. Senate Majority Leader Bill Frist, will replace Hillary Rosen as the head of the RIAA (one of our favorite organizations.

With strong political ties and comments such as "What could be more rewarding than helping to promote two great American traditions: music and property rights?" this can't be a good thing.

We'll have to see how this goes, but it doesn't look good.
